Celebrating one of My People

Kendra Lanterman hugging Friend Nana

21 years ago, I got my real estate license and partnered with my Nana for the first few years. After that, we parted ways, and I went on my own. At that time, I got my first listing, and I was introduced to this beautiful woman right here.

I will never forget, sitting at her closing table for my very first solo closing. I was completely terrified, and I honestly had no idea what I was doing and I relied on her. She never doubted me for one second and she led that closing with pure confidence and professionalism. My unsuspecting clients at the time had no idea that I was a fish out of water.

Over the past 16 years, we have sat together at the closing table with clients who have lost, loved ones, been through divorce and started their lives over, we have celebrated with first time homebuyers who achieved a huge goal of homeownership, she has helped my family and my friends, she has treated my most vulnerable clients with the upmost respect and support.

About 10 years ago, I was faced with the hardest sale of my career; selling my beloved grandparents home. When we showed up on closing day, there were two bouquets at the table, one for my grandparents, and one for me. A gesture that brings tears to my eyes to this day. She knew how special they are, and how much it meant.

16 years ago, I did not find my closer… I found one of my PEOPLE.

I always knew three things; she would be the best dressed, she would be the most knowledgeable, and she always had my back.

We have lived life together. Tonight, we celebrated her retirement, but we won’t stop living life together!

I love you, my incredible friend. Thank you for years of service and support. Now it’s my turn to be here to support you!

I gotchu 😘 Love you.

-Kendra
